Always plying in the water

When Jay would take lennix outside I would ask him to please not let him get wet. Without fail, about 30 min later Lennix would come inside soaking wet. I love that jay would say "there was nothing I could do about it" (FYI: Someone had to turn on the sprinklers and I'm sure it wasn't Lennix).
Soaking wet, binkie and all. Side note: So, in this picture, Lennix had just turned 2 and I told myself that I was going to get rid of his binkie as soon as he turned 2. Well, I was terrified that he was going to hate me for life. Well, I am proud to say that he is binkie-free and he still loves me. I want to let you know how I did it if you have a binkie lover and feel that it is time to get ride of it. I started by cutting a small hole in the bottom of the binkie and the next day I made it a little bit bigger and then on the 3rd day I cut the top of the binkie. He put it in his mouth and then took it out and looked at it and knew something was not the same. Well, later that day I put him down for a nap and he actually took it out of his mouth and fell asleep. I took it and when he asked for it we went on a search and I told him it was all gone. Now he says "Mommy, binkie all gone." It worked so well for me and I am so glad to not have to keep track of two kids binkies!!

Jay and his lawn

There was pretty much a routine that Jay got in while we lived in Mitch and Julies house. He would come home, eat dinner, and then go outside and water the yellow spots where the sprinklers didn't hit. By the time we moved out the grass was beautiful. A lot of love and care went into it. Also, Lennix loved it because he would come out and throw rocks into the garden.
I think this is such a cute picture. Jay in his own thoughts.
He realized I was taking pictures of him
Boy do I miss Cedar.

Laughter is food for the soul

I think Lennix can do anything and Jensen will get a kick out of it. This was no exception. I had to get his darling laugh on film.

SNOWBIRD 2008

Jay and I had so much fun playing doubles during the week. I think I like that even better than playing with just Jay and I.
Oh! Isn't that cute. notice I am the only one posing for the picture :)
I think we may have tired out Jensen
Yes, the Twilight Series overtook our entire condo. Everywhere you looked there was someone else's book. Naturally we had to take a picture.

Every year we take a picture at this same peak at the top of the tram. You can't buy a better background than that for a family picture!!
Lennix with his cousins Aubree, Madi, and Tegan
This is My oldest sister's Ben and Jay playing a little guitar hero. They were rookies when they first started the game but got really good by the end of the week. I was quite impressed. Also, I think there is an addicting chemical that comes with the game. I kid you not, if I saw Jay pick up the guitar I knew he was going to be incoherent for abot 3-4 hours. I just had to get used to it. Plus, how often do you actually have that much time to sit and play a game. He deserved it!!
Lennix and Lauren just hang'n out (no pun intended). Looking at all of these pictures really makes me wish Lauren was closer so they could hand out all the time. They played so well together. Including getting in trouble together. They seem to think that there is nothing wrong with walking down the hallway, pushing the button, and taking a ride on the elevators all by themselves.
This is such a great action shot. Both of their faces explain this picture so well.

Which one do you think is enjoying the meteor shower more?
My dad always giving words of wisdom. And this is my neice Madi (Troy and Daph's oldest)
We were so excited that Lennix was old enough to ride with us on the alpine slide. If you click on this picture you will be able to see the absolute joy that is on his face.
This year I really wanted to do the bungee tramps. There is usually a ridiculously long line to do them and there wasn't this day. So, Jay and I went together. It was really fun about the first 2-3 min. and then I realized how out of shape I was.
The tram is one of my favorite things that we do up at Snowbird. I think everything was that much more fun this particular year because Lennix is old enough to realize what we are doing and really enjoy it.

Boy do I think I have such a handsome husband!! Who is that weird, scrunched nose girl standing next to him!!? :) This is the 6th year that we have gone up to Snowbird together and 5 of those we have been married. Wow, time is going way to fast. Are you sure I'm not still 21?

I am so proud. I got my Grandpa to wear a New York Yankees hat. We have a rivalry in our family. Jay and I love the Yankee's and Troy and Daph's family love the Red Sock's. So, we had to ask my Grandpa which was his favorite. All he said was "I'll just stick to my Utah Jazz!" Such a people pleaser.
Center stage as usual
After Lauren thought she was an Olympic diver and did a face plant onto the table and then the concrete floor. My sister Tiff thought it would be a good idea to put a little padding under her if she wanted to jump again. Well, it turned into one of the best activities of the day for them.
Such a darling square smile. You know I worried about adding a second child into our family when Jay and I got pregnant with Jensen. As all mothers of a first child think "Can I really love the second child as much as the first?" Well, there is no doubt about it, you can. Lennix and Jensen are so different and I love them in such different ways. Lennix is a daddy's boy and Jensen is a momma's boy. I absolutely love it!! Why did I ever worry about adding Jensen into our family. It would not be complete without him!!
Getting ready to go watch the meteor shower just up from Snowbird at Alta ski resort.

This is another picture of the hike. You can actually see the bright peak in the background. I love that everyone is spread out exploring.
Jensen was really enjoying himself
I have to say this is the happiest picture I have ever seen. Robb and Steph, you have one cute little boy.
His expression is to die for. Lennix swam last year but I would have to say that this year he really enjoyed it.
I got a good arm workout while we swam. He loved jumping off the ledge.

SNOWBIRD 2008

My brother-in-laws brought these segways up for everyone to ride. After I conquered my fear I really enjoyed riding them.
Having a little smooch with my buddy Jensen
Snowbird starts on a Saturday so we have started a tradition that on Sunday we take a hike (well, my Dad finds a spot off the beaten path-where we probably should not be) and we have family home evening. This is a picture of this years FHE. I think it's quite funny that it looks like we have hung the kids from the trees and are happily having a spiritual message surrounding them. I don't think they would approve this at church head quarters! :)
This was one of the hikes that we took during the week. The sun was just setting and the mountain looked awesome. The moon is a nice touch also!! Oh, I love Snowbird.

Lennix Steps on a Cactus

Lennix and Lauren decided to run through my parents back yard barefoot. Right as Jay and I found them we watched as Lennix headed straight for a cactus and planted his foot right in it. The next hour or so was so sad. We had to hold him down (it took me, Jay and my dad) and Jay plucked out as many as he could. This is a picture after the fact and he is showing Jay his battle wounds.
Jensen and Grandpa Skippy just hang'n out

Feeding the birds and Ice cream is the perfect cure

After Lennix stepped on the cactus we needed a good distraction so my parents took us to Layton park to feed the birds. He loved it and didn't make one mention about his feet hurting.
Of course we had to top off the night with some ice cream and Lennix had his first very own ice cream cone. He loved every bit of it.
I love my mom. The more pictures I see of the both of us the more I realize how much I look like her. I only hope to be half the incredible woman she it. Side note, don't you love the look on Jensen's face? It looks like he is a little scared that we are going to take off without putting him back in his car seat!

We couldn't come home without bearing gifts. Don't they look so darling. We had to purchase Ohio State shirts because we heard that on game days if you are not wearing Ohio State paraphernalia you are the odd man out. People are crazy fans out there.

Our Trip to find a Home in Ohio

The College of Dentistry. Jay will spend many long hours here. It will probably become his second home.
Our favorite part of the trip. Touring the Horse shoe.

We are official Buckeye fans!! This stadium seats 109,000 people. We figured that it is Cedar City 4 times over.

More Pictures of our Ohio Trip

Our Flight was so beautiful. I felt like a little kid because I have not flown since College.
So here it is. We found the best apartment complex to live in. It was seriously an answer to our prayers. They even let us pick out our own paint color for our apartment!!
We are the top left and we met our neighbors to the right and they are so nice. They have two kids that are around the same age as ours.
We think It is kind of funny that we lived in Utah where there are so many temples and church houses but by moving to Ohio we will be only 10 min instead of 45 min from the temple and instead of driving across town to our church house we will only be a block away. Crazy huh?
I'm so excited to do a session here.

Two of My Favorite Pictures
