Annual How to Host a Murder

How To Host a Murder 2010
I got on line and found a great "Western" themed How to host a Murder game. Everyone really got into character and I could even tell a couple of weeks before we played the guys weren't shaving for church. Jay was growing a mustache/handlebars, peter's chops were awesome and Nate and Andy grew in their beards. I loved it! This picture is of the invitation that I made and sent to each couple inviting them to the event and explaining their character. Each of them found them posted on their front door.

This is the dinner set up where we played the game. We had a good Western home cooked meal. Chicken, potatoes, gravy, rolls and of course a good Beer (okay root beer :)). Thanks Tabby for getting all the good decor from your dad. It was perfect!
Side note- Just as we were about to start the game we got a call and Korey (our baby sitter) told us that maddy had and accident. Well, she wasn't kidding. Maddy had fallen off the couch and hit heads with Jensen (we think this is what happened) and cut her eye brow open. Really, it was quite the cut. So, Tabby and Andy, dressed up and all, spent the evening in the Emergency room and we just played games. We ended up postponing the game for a week but it worked out just great and Maddy was just fine.
Peter played a really great Ladies man Lone Ranger. Sherrida's character seemed really sweet and innocent but she was the genius behind lots of questionable business.
Helena Handcart and Wyatt Hurtz
I loved that my character was the mother of 16 boys (all deceased of course) and Jay, well, I'll just say that his character was quite "tender."
Cheif Breaking Wind and Elvira Lynn Fection
Need I say more with Nates Character Name- And his costume was hillarious. Trinnett was perfect for her part because I knew she would have the most fun as the shady lady.
P'Elvis Swaggerin' and Butch Chastity
I am still laughing about Andy's Character and his tight wrangler's fit the part perfectly! No one could have played Butch better than Tabby (the black eye was a perfect touch).
I laughed so hard while we were trying to take a good guy picture. They were all in perfect character. I couldn't help but post all of them.
A pictur of all the ladies- okay, except for Tabby (with a name like Butch, you tend to wonder) :)
So my character ended up being a little insain, really. So, this was a tribute to me and my bonnet.
The whole gang
Trinett ended up being the murderer!!
I had to post these last pictures of Jay and Andy. They make me laugh!

Thank you everyone who came for making it yet another memorable, hilariously wonderful night.

Halloween 2010

I could not get enough of Jensen in his doggy costume. We went shopping (the boys and I, for costumes) and at Once Upon a Child we found this doggy costume for only $4.00. I was so excited and he made it adorable. We also found Lennix's at Volunteer's for 6 dollars. I was happy. While we were out trick or treating there was this dog that actually looked like his costume so he had to take a picture with it.
We have the best neighborhood right next to our apartments and everyone sits on their driveway to hand out candy so it feels like the entire neighborhood is out for the night. Some even have a bond fire going with hot chocolate. It's really fun. We met up with some of our friends and took a kids picture.
I got lucky that my turn to teach preschool landed on the week of Halloween so that Thursday we had our Halloween party. We painted pumpkins and played a few games.
Could our class be more adorable. I love that 3 out of 4 of the kids came as spiderman. :)
The doughnut hole on the string game was by far the most entertaining. I think the kids loved it also. Fun and yummy.
This was their craft and treat for the party. I think they all turned out perfect!
Doesn't this picture just make you smile. Really, is there any better place for a baby to sleep?
Our Ward does an annual Trunk or Treat and I got to paint a spider on Lennix's face. Of course he wanted it just like the spiderman spider.
Both of them enjoying their treats
Me and my boys at the ward Trunk or Treat
Tabby's little girl Evie looked so cute that I had to take a picture of her.
Lennix and his favorite girl Brooklyn. Of course they are both spiderman! :)
Oh, I love this little puppy.
This is random but I wanted to post one of our preschool days when all the kids were playing so well in Lennix's room during playtime.
I taught D is for Dairy and they made their own cow masks.
My friend Brittney told me of this annual "All Hallows Eve" that the historical society puts on in this actual historical town in downtown Columbus. This next year we are going to go much earlier because there was so much to do. This picture reminds me of my mom. They had all the kids decorate their own gourd. That is so something that my mom has had us do for a craft. :)
Here's Jensen's finished gourd
These pictures are great!

Beckham is officially the third boy to take a picture in this Yankee Uniform that I made for Lennix when he was born. Look at those cheeks!! Such an adorable picture.
Jay looked awesome all dressed up for Halloween this year. I started his makeup but by the time he was finished it was better than what I would have done. Everyone could not believe it was jay.
Andy and Tabby came to Trinett and Nate's party as Batman and Robyn (leave it to Tabby to crossdress :)) and as you can see, Jay and I were Jack Skelington and Sally.
What an eclectic family!
Aren't those some handsome fellas.
Don't let her fool ya, those really are her abs :)
Love the pose
Trinett had the best game where you had to hold these paper plates on together with different body parts. They key is keeping them on and adding more plates. It was really hard but super fun. I think my whole body was shaking trying to keep the plates on by the end.
Jay looks a little scary in this picture :)

A little photo shoot

I don't think we have a problem with the boys loving Beckham or not. They always want to be by him and Jensen loves holding him. Also, Lennix is the best at singing to Beckham to help him be happy when he's sad. They are the best older brothers.
I took some pictures of Beckham and wanted to share a few.
I took some pictures of Beckham and wanted to share a few. Yes, that is the Sheep rug that I got from Grandpa Nielsen! :)
Of course Jensen wanted to take a picture with Beck
I loved this picture even though his hand was waving. His face was precious.
My good friend Lyndzie made him this adorable hat and it matched the adorable outfit that Troy, Daph and the family gave us so we had to take a picture.
This was a better picture of the outfit. I can't believe how much Beckham has grown since this picture. I'll have to post some pictures of his adorable smile
